Panther classics for sale are sports cars and luxury cars made by using parts of other car manufacturers.The first model produced by Panther was J72. The J72 was styled from the Jaguar SS100 and came with a V12 engine in three sizes. It had an aluminum body and two seats. It was built from 1972 until 1986. Only about 376 of these classics for sale were built.
Only about 18 of the Panther Rio classics for sale were built. These four-door cars were based on the Triumph Dolomite body sale, but cost three times as much. Only one of the Panther Lazer classics for sale was ever made. It was an open three-seat roadster designed as a gift. The Panther FF, or Felber Ferrari, had an aluminum body and real leather upholstery.
The Lima Series was another two-seater, styled after a small Bugatti, with a 2.3 liter magnum engine. About 600 of the Lima Series 1 were produced from 1976 until 1978, and about 300 of the Lima Series 2 were produced from 1978 until 1980. The De Ville was also styled after a Bugatti, the Royale model. It came with a 4.2 or 5.3 liter engine, as a hard top or convertible. Less than 60 of these were built from 1976 until 1982.
The Panther 6 was a unique six-wheeled convertible with a Cadillac V8 engine. Just two of these classics for sale exist.
The Kallista, built from 1982 until 1990, had one of the biggest production runs of all Panther classics for sale. About 1,440 were built. These came with 1.6 or 2.6 liter Ford engines and an aluminum body. The Kallista was discontinued to make way for the Panther Solo. The first Solo was a simple rear-wheel drive car with a mid-size engine. However, it could not match the competition of the Toyota MR2. The Solo 2 was larger and had twice the horsepower. The Solo featured a carbon fiber body, four-wheel drive, and a two liter Cosworth engine. These were the last Panther classics for sale to be produced, and about 20 were made. Most of these were sold to the public.
The company was founded by Robert Jankel in 1972 and is formally named the Panther West Winds Car Company. In 1980 the company was sold to a Korean investor, but continued to lose money and had to be liquidated in the 1990s. These classics for sale are quite rare.
